The PCSD has added a new Veterans Day event this year! In addition to our 2 Veterans Day Programs (both of which are open to all area Veterans and the general public), we've added a Veterans Day Dinner. On Monday, November 11, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. Veterans are invited to the Portage High School Cafeteria for dinner. This dinner is free for the Veteran and one guest. Please RSVP for the meal by email to pulliams@portage.k12.wi.us by 4 p.m. on November 7th. In addition, there will be a free viewing of the Award Winning Documentary "Honor in the Air" in the PHS Auditorium at 5:30 p.m. All Veterans and community members are invited to this viewing. Penny Alwin Kleinhaus will be present and available for a Q&A. We hope to see you at one or all of our Veterans Day programs this year!

The Portage Community School District will have a Facilities Referendum question on the November 2024 ballot. The question will read: “Shall the Portage Community School District, Columbia, Marquette and Sauk Counties, Wisconsin be authorized to issue pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $53,050,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of a school building and facility improvement project consisting of: construction of additions and renovations at the Middle School, including for classrooms, cafeteria and commons expansion; construction of an addition and renovations at the High School, including for a new aquatics facility, a multipurpose gymnasium, a secure entrance and parking lot; district-wide building infrastructure, systems and site improvements; and acquisition of furnishings, fixtures and equipment?"
