Winter FFA Activities
Community Service: Salvation Army bell ringing
Local, District, and Sectional Speaking Contest: Members can compete in five individual contests (creed speaking, extemporaneous speaking, prepared speaking, job interview and discussion meet) or a team event of parliamentary procedure.
Degrees and Awards: Students can fill out proficiency degrees, state degrees, and other award applications to compete against other FFA members in many different categories
Chapter Holiday Party: FFA members have a night to have fun, socialize, play games before the holiday season
Farm Bureau Farm Forum: This two day conference allows FFA members have a chance to learn about the newest ideas in agriculture from agriculture professionals
Half-Time Conference: Two officers have a chance to meet with other FFA officers from around the state to become reenergized for the end of the school year FFA activities
National FFA Week: Celebrate FFA for an entire week through dress up days, lunch activities and a member/ faculty breakfast served by the FFA officers.
Alumni Banquet: Attend the Portage FFA Alumni banquet to show our appreciation for all they do for the FFA throughout the year
FFA Fruit Sale: The FFA sells the best quality fruit starting at the end of January with delivery mid-February
FUN EVENTS: Attend a Bucks game after FFA week or the UW-Hockey game with the Collegiate FFA.
